Earlier today, Warner Bros and NetherRealm dropped an all new story trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, along with some new character announcements.
Mortal Kombat 11 follows Raiden’s defeat of the evil Elder God. Kronika, who desires to control the balance of good and evil, decides to rewind time to the beginning in order to re-write history. Because of the time-bending narrative, early characters from the franchise will be making a return, when past and present characters collide.
The new character announcements of the day included Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, and Erron Black. Cassie Cage is the daughter of Sonya Blade (played by Ronda Rousey in Mortal Kombat 11), and Johnny Cage. She uses her fighting skills in battle, which can be seen in the new gameplay trailer below. Jacqui Briggs is a member of the special forces, trained in kickboxing and martial arts. Erron Black makes a return as the ominous, western gunslinger. These three join several returning characters alongside Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade and Johnny Cage. Check out the new trailer below, and stay tuned to Electric Bento for more coverage.
