Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Capcom and Nintendo has announced that Monster Hunter Generation Ultimate is coming to the Switch August 28th! While it’s not the outstanding Monster Hunter World and it’s only a port of Monster Hunter XX which released last summer in Japan, I am still excited. Not only does it allow new players to get a taste of old Monster Hunter it also allows hunters to hunt absolutely anywhere!
Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate may be a re-release but it has a few tricks up its sleeves. Hunter Styles are back and better than ever, and once again you can take control of your Felyne companion, or Palicoes, and throw yourself against monsters. And if you’ve played Monster Hunter Generation for the 3ds, you can just transfer your saved data and pick up right where you left off. Monster Hunter Generation Ultimate supports local and online multiplayer, which is a very welcomed addition. I’m beyond excited to jump back in. Between this and Monster Hunter World I’ve got my time booked.
