As part of their continued support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, developer Treyarch has launched a new patch with a large host of updates across all modes.
While this latest 1.12 update features quality of life and balancing fixes across all platforms, some of the updates will be launching on Playstation 4 first, but we’ll get to that in a bit. First, Treyarch is launching new gameplay improvements and featured playlists to multiplayer. This includes Blackjack’s Gun Game, which has an all new pistol thrown into the chaos. Hardcore moshpit will debut in the featured playlist, and Edurance Chaos Moshpit makes a featured return. Also announced was a February update for weapon balance and fine tuning on attachments. This update will balance weapons across core and hardcore modes, and more info will be coming later.
For the Blackout game mode, Treyarch has made some adjustments around Armor, Cluster Grenades, and Concussion Grenades. The tuning on Armor includes a reduction in the mitigation of damage percentages, and the removal of melee and explosive damage protection for level 3 armor. Grenades have received some tweaking as well, with reduced status effect duration and radius for concussion grenades, and increased fuse timer and cluster damage for cluster grenades. The Ambush limited time even also launches today for Playstation 4, and a week later on Xbox One and PC. Ambush will be replacing the Down But Not Out event, which will continue for another week. Also announced was that full camo progression will be coming to Blackout, with more info to come at a later date.
Zombies receives a fresh update as well, with classic and loot weapons making their debut. Gameplay improvements are also inbound, with bug fixes, and stability updates. Mastery camos will also be made available soon after the 1.12 update launches. The second gauntlet also launches today, for Playstation 4, in the IX campaign, with 30 rounds of Zombies challenges.
